Corrosion Assassin — Industrial Rust Remover & Corrosion Inhibitor
Corrosion Assassin is a water-based rust remover that does two jobs in one: it dissolves existing rust down to clean bare metal — unlike a rust converter, which turns rust into a black coating you paint over — and it lays an iron-phosphate layer that stops new rust forming. A rust remover for metal that leaves a paint-ready surface. One drum on the shelf instead of two.
Apply. Wait. Wipe. Protect.
Four steps on the shop floor. No caustic chemistry, no specialist equipment. If your team can run a degreaser they can run this.
Apply
Spray, brush or dip. Cover the affected surface fully. Use straight, no dilution.
Wait
Leave it on. Light rust 10–30 minutes, moderate 30 minutes to an hour, heavy 1–2 hours. Two hours is the recommended maximum.
Wipe
Wipe down with a clean cloth. The treated surface is dry and paint-ready. The protective layer is clear — the metal’s appearance doesn’t change.
Protect
Leave the iron-phosphate layer in place for storage or transit. Weeks to months in covered, dry conditions. It is temporary protection, not a permanent coating.

Where it works. Where to test. What to avoid.
Industrial chemistry isn’t one-size-fits-all. This list comes straight from Technical Data Sheet v4.0 and it is the only version — the same wording on this page, in the brochure and on a quote.
Freshly machined parts
Spray bottle only, never soak. Soaking causes a colour change customers don’t accept.
Oily or greasy parts
Heavy oil or grease must be removed first. Corrosion Assassin is not a degreaser and won’t perform reliably on oily surfaces — degrease with Hamba first.
Four packs. One product.
The workshop bench, the second order, the production line and the loading bay. The chemistry inside every one of them is the same.

The questions buyers actually ask.
Every answer here comes from the data sheet. Nothing is rounded up.
Is it a rust remover or a corrosion inhibitor?
Both, equally. The inhibiting film forms as part of the rust-removal reaction — you are not buying one job and getting the other as a bonus.
How long does the protection last?
Weeks to months in covered, dry storage, and it has been proven through sea freight. It is temporary protection, not a permanent coating.
Can I paint over it?
Yes, directly. The iron-phosphate film is paint-ready, with no degreasing step in between.
Do I dilute it?
No. It is supplied at working concentration. Use it as it comes.
How long do I leave it on?
Light rust 10–30 minutes. Moderate 30 minutes to an hour. Heavy 1–2 hours. Two hours is the recommended maximum.
Can I soak freshly machined parts?
No — spray bottle only. Soaking causes a colour change customers do not accept.
Will it work on oily parts?
Not reliably. Corrosion Assassin is not a degreaser — heavy oil or grease has to come off first.
Can I reuse a soak bath?
Yes, until contact times lengthen or sludge builds up. Then neutralise it and refill.
What is the shelf life?
12 months unopened.

Order it, or prove it first.
Most buyers order a 5L and run it on a real batch. If you’d rather prove it under a measured protocol before you buy, take the 14-day trial: we bring the product and the method, you bring the parts and sign the outcome.

Corrosion inhibitor — six months protected, zero corrosion
Steel treated with Corrosion Assassin, shipped to Fort Myers, Florida — ten weeks of it at sea — and opened after six months in total with zero corrosion.
100% mill scale removal on steel flanges, measured under test. Verified in Gary Clark’s own test alongside Greg, a professor in corrosion.
