Some we had a product for. Some we didn’t, and went looking. This is what’s on the bench right now.
Looking for the fix
Gypsum scale blocking an oil cooler
- What came in
- A brazed plate heat exchanger running on mine water, blocked solid with gypsum scale. Nothing on our shelf for it.
- Where it stands
- Looking for the fix. The constraint is finding something that strips the scale without attacking the copper in the plates.
- What happens next
- When we find it and it works, it becomes something we supply.
Looking for the fix
Paraffin on rolled stainless steel
- What came in
- A customer rolls stainless steel and coats it in oil so it doesn’t scratch. They clean the oil off with paraffin, and they’d rather not. They asked whether we have something better.
- Where it stands
- Looking for the fix. Working through what will lift rolling oil off stainless without marking the finish, and what the right answer is on the environmental and handling side.
- What happens next
- We test it on their own material before anyone commits to anything.
Neither customer is named and neither problem is solved yet. When one is, it says so here.
