Corrosion Assassin Paint-On — rust remover that stays where you put it.
Brush it on vertical, overhead or fixed steel and it clings while it works. Removes the rust — it does not paint over it black the way a converter does — and takes paint directly afterwards.
By Green Guard Industrial Solutions.
Which one?
- Flat parts, small items, anything you can dip or soak.
- Corrosion Assassin liquid
- Vertical, overhead, or fixed in place where liquid runs off.
- Corrosion Assassin Paint-On
What are you doing now — sanding it, or sandblasting it?
A gate, a garage door, a window frame, a panel. Sanding costs you hours. Sandblasting costs you a contractor, a mess, and the part off site. Paint-On goes on with a brush, stays there, and the rust comes off with the gel.
What it costs to do a square metre
Sanding and sandblasting are both priced per square metre. So is this — as soon as the coverage test is done.
| Coverage | square metres per litre |
|---|---|
| Cost per square metre, 1L | R |
| Cost per square metre, 5L | R |
| Cost per square metre, 25L | R |
These are blank on purpose. The figure comes from Gary’s own coverage test and nothing else — not an estimate, not a rounded guess, and nothing carried across from the liquid. The moment the test lands, this block fills in.
Brush it on. Keep it wet. Wipe it off.
- Brush off the loose rust.
- Paint the gel on.
- Keep it wet. That is the one rule. How long it needs depends on conditions.
- Wipe the gel off. The undissolved rust comes off with it. Paint over if you are painting.
Mild steel. Tool steel. Cast iron.
That is the list for this version, and we are not stretching it.
Not claimed on this version
Stainless, aluminium and galvanised are not tested on Paint-On and are not claimed for it, even though the liquid covers them. For those metals, and for anything you can dip or soak, use the liquid.
Four jobs it is bought for
Rust on a gate
Gates, garage doors, window frames, burglar bars, palisade, railings — anything in mild steel that is fixed in place.
See the job →Rust off the panel
Panel shops, the motor trade and restorers working on steel panels and bodywork.
See the job →Rust off it without stripping the machine down
Workshops and refurbishment, on mild steel, tool steel and cast iron components that are awkward to remove.
See the job →Vertical and overhead steel
Engineering, refurbishment and paint shops, on structural mild steel.
See the job →Four packs. The 1L is where most people start.
The 5L sits under it with the cost per litre, so you can see for yourself where the sense is.
Order request — we invoice you, and dispatch once payment clears. The 25L is an industrial pack and is not sold into hardware.

The questions people actually ask.
Is it a rust converter?
No. It removes the rust rather than converting it into a black film you then paint over.
Will it strip the paint that is already on there?
No. It does not strip existing paint.
Can I paint over it afterwards?
Yes, directly.
How long do I leave it on?
Until the rust is gone. The one rule is keep it wet — how long that takes depends on conditions.
What metals is it for?
Mild steel, tool steel and cast iron.
What about stainless, aluminium or galvanised?
Not tested on this version, so we do not claim it. Do not use it on those.
How is it different from the liquid?
The liquid is for flat parts and anything you can dip or soak. Paint-On is for vertical, overhead or fixed work where liquid just runs off. Same chemistry, thickened so it stays put.
How much do I need?
The coverage figure is being tested and goes on this page the moment it is settled. We would rather leave it blank than guess at it.
