Vertical and overhead steel, treated where it stands
Beams, columns, frames and handrails. The gel stays on the surface instead of running down it, so overhead work is a brush job rather than a scaffold-and-blast job.
What are you doing now — sanding it, or sandblasting it?
On structural steel the cost is access, not product. Anything that turns a blasting job into a brushing job pays for itself in the hire bill alone.
Which one?
- Flat parts, small items, anything you can dip or soak.
- Corrosion Assassin liquid
- Vertical, overhead, or fixed in place where liquid runs off.
- Corrosion Assassin Paint-On
Brush it on. Keep it wet. Wipe it off.
It removes the rust rather than converting it to a black film, it does not strip the paint that is already on there, and you can paint over it directly afterwards.
- Brush off the loose rust.
- Paint the gel on.
- Keep it wet. That is the one rule. How long it needs depends on conditions.
- Wipe the gel off. The undissolved rust comes off with it. Paint over if you are painting.
